What you’re seeing

A full tactical board — two 11-figure formation blocks of stickmen, like a stylized Football Manager broadcast. The team in possession pushes toward the ball’s zone; the defending block compresses goal-side of it.
The ball moves on facts — possession changes, zone changes, set pieces, shots, goals. A turnover plays out as an interception because the possession change itself is real.
Takeovers for the big moments — goals, cards, VAR reviews and substitutions take over the screen as full choreographed sequences.
A living soundscape — crowd atmosphere that swells with pressure, plus optional voice commentary calling the moments.

The honesty rule

This is the part we’re proudest of. The data source provides sparse semantic events, not player tracking — so Game View never pretends otherwise:

Game View illustrates what the data says. Staging may dramatize inside the truth; it never contradicts or outruns it.

Formations are cosmetic defaults, never claimed lineups.
No real player name ever appears on an invented figure — player identity shows up only in takeover typography when the source provides it.
The ball never crosses a zone boundary without a real cue.
Every visible state change traces back to a semantic frame fact.

Honest theater: the drama is staged, the facts are real.

How a goal feels

Pressure builds — the attacking block pushes into the danger zone, the soundscape rises.
The shot lands — a goal sequence takes over the screen: the strike, the celebration, the score commit.
If VAR takes it back, Game View plays a retraction treatment — because the truth changed, and the board follows the truth.
Play restarts, the board settles, and the room in Global Chat loses its mind.

Live and replay

Game View plays live matches as they happen — and replays finished matches as if they were live, using the same recorded frame stream. Checkpoints let you jump between the key moments of the match.
